This book gave me a great account of Myanmar before I travelled to the country two weeks ago. I am here for part of a gap year and this book has really helped me understand Myanmar's intricate past that has led to the creation of this misunderstood region.

Frank Hammond explains the application of this gift to the believer, and provides examples of how it has worked in his own ministry. He concludes with a prayer of impartation for the reader to receive this gift and the gifts of knowledge, wisdom and faith.

About the Author
Frank Hammond was a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with over forty years experience as a pastor and teacher in the Body of Christ. I am always impressed with Frank Hammond's work. It is very important that each Christian is a warrior....especially in this time of our lives. One can see what spirit is controlling their friends, family, or even themselves. We need more material like this in our churches!

Discerning of spirits has been a request of mine from God for some time. This book explains it well with simplicity & the anointing of God! Loved it! Love everything from these folks! Their writings are an awesome benefit to the Body of. Christ in healing & deliverance. They've been a tremendous blessing!

Excellent! Very concise

Excellent! Very concise, pulls no punches about NOT speaking with demons, but relying on the Holy Spirit to help us help others. The only section that needed more clarification was towards the end when he wrote about territorial spirits. I believe it to be helpful when the Holy Spirits reveals what spirits are over neighborhoods, towns, cities, regions, countries, continents; but, nowhere do we see Jesus, any apostle, disciple, prophet, nor anyone in the Old Covenant scriptures bind, cast these types of spirits from their assigned territory. If we could do this, we would see it in the scripture and this would shutdown places like brothels, etc...we only have dominion over ourselves and our homes, scripture backs this up. Now saying that, it is quite helpful to know by revelation what type of spirits are over these areas, to understand why the people act and think the way they do.

My boyfriend needed this book for a class he was taking. It was well written, obviously, but a little on the dry side. It's tough to be "Wide Awake" if the book isn't interesting. But they can't all be, right? Overall, it served it's purpose and it was less expensive going through Amazon than the campus bookstore.

This is a very user-friendly book. The first half is really helpful and the second half has great readings. I especially like the sections on Disability Studies and Happiness.

It is not like i wanted to read this. I got it for my English class. It is pretty helpful so far and it has a lot of examples which is good. So all in all, it is a good book.

This book is intended as a reference that will provide the practitioner with a framework for establishing a diagnosis and developing a suitable treatment plan in patients presenting with a range of developmental defects of the teeth. The conditions covered include failure of tooth eruption, hypodontia, premature tooth exfoliation, defects of enamel development, and defects of dentin development, with full consideration of both syndromic and non-syndromic defects. In each case the phenotype and genotype are first described, followed by diagnostic information, including the availability of genetic testing, and treatment options. About the Author
J. Timothy Wright gained his DDS from West Virginia University School of Dentistry and his MS/Cert from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. In 1990 he received his board certification from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Since then he has been a member of the Graduate Faculty of the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, becoming Professor in the UNC School of Dentistry in 1995. Since 2004 Dr. Wright has been Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at UNC School of Dentistry. He has in the past also had terms as Colgate Visiting Professor at Otago University, Dunedin, New Zealand, Visiting Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, and Gorlin Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota. On three occasions Dr. Wright has won the William J Gies Award from the American Association for Dental Research. In 2006 he was appointed James Bawden Distinguished Professor at UNC and in 2012 he received an Honorary Lifetime Membership Award from the UNC Dental Alumni Association. He has served on numerous committees and other bodies, including as Chair of the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs. Dr. Wright currently sits on the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s Scientific Affairs Committee and is President of the IADR Mineralized Tissue Group (2012-3). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Archives of Oral Biology and the Japanese Pediatric Dental Journal and is the author of 160 articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Great for dentists interested in 'High Speed Braces'

This is a very well-written review of many of the important aspects of orthodontics. It discusses topics that are essential for any dental professional who ventures outside what they are taught in dental school, as many myths create fear in the uninformed. The section on ortho-induced apical shortening and accelerated orthodontics are excellent and could easily be used to move a dentist to a higher level of service with confidence.

Necessary text for every orthodontist

This is a great book that provides the most recent and highest quality evidence available for most of the major orthodontic topics. Unlike some other orthodontic texts that "cherry pick" research studies that fit the opinions of the authors, EBCO uses only high level studies (systematic reviews, RCTs, Meta-analyses, etc) to discuss how the literature and evidence should guide our decision making. The authors present the material in a way that is easy to follow with summary bullet points and conclusions at the end of each chapter. If you're looking for a text that is supported by quality evidence and literature, then you need this book.
